South Asia's first and largest specialty media house, CyberMedia, has announced a new organizational structure to prepare the organization for the next level of growth.
As part of this plan, CyberMedia has decided to appoint three group heads to lead the Print Publishing, Online and Life Sciences, and the CyberMedia Services group. These three group heads will have the profit centre responsibility and will report to the Executive Board.
Commenting on the move CyberMedia’s Chairman and Managing Director Mr. Pradeep Gupta said,

The ICT print publishing activities comprising seven publications – Dataquest, the DQWeek network of four newspapers, DQ Channels, Voice & Data, Voice & Data Channels, PCQuest and Living Digital -- will now be headed by Mr. Prasanto Kumar Roy. In his new role as President (ICT publishing), Prasanto will steer the editorial, business and sales and marketing functions of the print publications.
Prasanto joined the CyberMedia group in 1990 in the editorial department of Dataquest. He successfully launched several new activities for the group, including the PCQuest CD-ROM, Computers@Home magazine (now Living Digital), the DQWeeks, and DQChannels. Prasanto is known as one of the finest technology writers, combining a rare blend of business acumen and understanding of technology. He is at equal ease in forecasting 'business of technology' trends for CIOs as he is communicating the impact of new technologies and trends in simple terms for readers.
CyberMedia Services - the content BPO arm of CyberMedia will be headed by Hoshie Ghaswalla, in addition to his current role at Global Services.
Hoshie has been with CyberMedia since 1987. He is an IT industry veteran who launched Global Services – an integrated media platform for the global outsourcing industry in February 2006. In the past, Hoshie has worked with most of the business units of CyberMedia. He has led the domestic as well as international sales, marketing and editorial functions and the events and multimedia subsidiary of CyberMedia.
The CyberMedia Group’s online properties, Job Portal and the Life Sciences group will be led by E Abraham Matthew. His two decade long association with the Group and vast experience in the online medium has led to the creation of CyberMedia India Online and CyberMedia-Dice, a joint venture between CyberMedia and Dice, the leading provider of online recruiting services for technology and engineering professionals in the United States. The group’s life sciences magazine group includes BioSpectrum and BioSpectrum Asia. The two Magazines, focused on the Biotech industry, are leaders in their category. Mathew also leads the Cybermedia News Service.
